Mary "Snow Falling" Osborne
 (Wed. March 28th. 2007)

On March 28th 2007, Mary was given her Indian name in a ceremony conducted by Chief White Deer of the Southern Band of the Cherokee's Wind Clan along with Flowing Water.

Mary's Indian name is Gutiha Gadosga (Snow Falling)
Spoken goo tee hah gah doe sgah.

The ceremony was attended by friends
and family. Especially Mary's "sisters"
Carrie and Ann.

The ceremony begin with the building of
a sacred fire. Everyone stood in the sacred
circle, and prayers were made to the Great Spirit.
Then a Smudging ceremony was done.

Smudging is a ritual way to cleanse a person , place or an object of negative energies, spirits or influences. The smudging ceremony involves the burning of special, sacred plants and herbal resins, then either passing an object through the resulting smoke, or fanning the smoke around a person or place. The spirit of the plant then purifies whatever is being smudged.

A very beautiful ceremony was held In which
Chief White Deer Presented Snow Falling with
A book of the Cherokee language.

Afterwards there was a time of hugging and congratulations
And sharing of food and a bit of social time.

Dr.Perry Stone has a cd available from his ministry "Are the Cherokee Indians linked to the Ancient Hebrews" that explains how the Cherokee Indian  Ceremonies and Beliefs are directly related to the Ancient Hebrew people and their customs and beliefs. They are the only tribe that has connections to the Hebrews. Contact: WWW.PERRYSTONE.ORG  for more information on how to obtain this eye opening teaching.
